| Welcome to the home of Gabe, Etta, Madyson and our wonderful "Fur-kids". When we were finally able to get our first dog back in 2005 after looking for 2 years, Dachshunds just seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. We searched high and low for a breed that "fit" our ideals of the perfect dog for us. Bishop (named after our favorite vacation spot), was that perfect fit, everything about him was absolutely perfect, well to us at least. It has been with every one of our furry children, and have found Dachshunds as our "forever" breed. As the saying goes "Dachshunds are like Potato Chips, You can’t just have one!" After our third we decided that we wanted to raise the best Dachshunds possible. We may change our "breeding stock" every so often but only because we have found an even better example of the breed and do not want to continue to breed dogs that are par to the standard. We are a small breeder raising miniature longhair and smooth dachshunds exclusively. We believe that is important to love and socialize each dog as much as possible. Our dogs are raised in our home and socialized daily; they even sleep in our bed (they are my little sausage lumps). Our dachshunds come in a variety of colors and patterns including English Cream. We have researched the breed extensively and carefully plan each and every breeding. Puppies are not always available but if you’re looking for a certain color or coat let us know and we’ll let you know when one becomes available or should we know of any, we can refer you to a reputable breeder that might have what your looking for when it comes to the puppy of your dreams. We place our puppies in forever homes with a spay/neuter contract, unless otherwise agreed upon. The puppies we are blessed with are all very special to us, and they will always have a home at PoppyDachs for life if for some reason the new parents cannot keep them. We love to see how our puppies progress throughout their lives and we love to share pictures! |
